Seeing as how people prefer to contribute lore information to the Tree of Savior Forums instead of a wiki and the staff don't seem interested in having an official wiki, whether on Gamepedia or otherwise, I think I'm about done trying to get this wiki to take off. Our wiki founder Brandy has disappeared, leaving this wiki in my hands when I didn't even ask for it.

I tried, I honestly tried, for the past 3 YEARS to encourage people to contribute information here. But I feel that people are expecting me to get the Tree of Savior Wiki to the level of the Ragnarok Wiki and that simply cannot happen by myself. I am just ONE PERSON and I'm already heavily invested in Ragnarok Online, so I just don't have any time to dedicate to Tree of Savior in order to get this wiki up to the level of lore information that the Ragnarok Wiki does. I thank everyone who has made an effort to contribute lore information to the wiki and I truly, honestly appreciate the work you guys have put into the wiki whether big or small.

As the title says, I am looking for admins to take this wiki off my hands. I simply do not have the heart nor dedication to carry this wiki like I've done with the Ragnarok Wiki. If future admins still wish to keep me on as an admin, that's fine. I don't mind helping fix things if stuff breaks. If you wish to revoke my admin status, that's fine, too.

However, if no one wishes to step up to the task, then this wiki will remain as is: not neglected, but not used either.

Recently, we have new job classes for Rank 8. Including:

• Matador
• Zealot
• Bullet Marker
• Shadowmancer

Also we gonna add hidden job classes, including:

• Chaplain
• Appraiser
• Miko
• Rune Caster
• Shinobi

Last but not least, Centurion was removed and has been replaced with Lancer.

With the conclusion of their closed beta tests, Nexon Thailand announced their open beta test after this week.

So I heard Nexon Thailand was open in late 2016 back then, and they will publish the Thai version of it. The thTOS had Alpha Test in late July. I just want to says please update this article if possible.

Just letting you guys know that I'm still checking things here from time to time (considering our founder kind of sort of disappeared). I just haven't been making edits here anymore as the Ragnarok Wiki has been taking up much of my time these days. As such, I haven't been playing the game very much so I don't know what kind of layout the town, character, job classes, etc. pages should have. I'll let you guys be the judge of that and just be here as overseer in case there's conflicts and the like.

Again, if you have any questions about the wiki, please do make threads in the Topiary Trimmings section and I'll do my best to answer them if no one else wants to contribute to the discussions.

About a month ago, IMC Games announced that they are working on a mobile port of Tree of Savior. Recently, the official website was launched and a trailer of the game in progress was released.

Since the original announcement, rumors abound in the Tree of Savior community that IMC Games will drop the original PC version of the game in favor of working on the mobile port. Nothing has been confirmed for sure, so for now the possibility that both games will be supported side-by-side remains.

Recently, Wikia has announced the rollout of the new Discussions feature that will replace the current Special:Forum feature. As Discussions is a Reddit/Twitter hybrid that does not function in any way or form like a forum, nor does it utilize wikitext like the current Special:Forum, we will likely be changing how we utilize this space on the wiki.

For now, we will continue to use Special:Forum and monitor how things progress with the rollout of Discussions. If our forums are converted and Discussions is still missing functions that the Special:Forum has, then we will start utilizing the Blogs feature instead for news and wiki discussions. As far as I'm aware, most of the threads here don't seem to be very active so I don't think they will be missed when we deactivate Discussions.

Taiwan TOS entered open beta during the second week of July to the delight of hundreds of players in the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau areas.

It's speculated that the attacks were launched by trolls looking to disrupt a popular new game, but there's also the possibility that the people behind the attacks are those who are unhappy with the choice of publisher for the Taiwan server of Tree of Savior.

There seems to be some interest in contributing to the News and Announcements section of the forums and so I've decided to outline how to make acceptable news threads.

First off, ALL news threads in News and Announcements are to be written up as news articles. Proper news articles include links to sources and relevant quotes. The general script for quoting sources is:

<div class="quote">''(quote content here)'' </div> ''Source: [whateverwebsite.com/article Name of Website]''

Please make use of the quote script when copying text that isn't written by you. If you wish to paraphrase, that's fine, but be sure to include a link to the source.

Secondly, and just as important, is proper spelling and grammar. Obviously you wouldn't take a news article seriously if it was inundated with lots of misspells and wonky grammar, right? The same goes for every news article thread in the News and Announcements section.

Thirdly, CITE YOUR SOURCES! News articles are not personal blogs so they should never be written as such. A good reporter should always cover their butts and link to official sources. There's nothing wrong with a bit of speculation and conjecture, but don't write as if the news was exclusive to you and you alone (because that's rather impossible unless you're a developer of TOS).

Fourth, you must be objective and unbiased in a news article. People aren't interested in your opinions (that's what the blogs are for), they just want information plain and simple. If your speculations are based on the information provided, that's fine, but don't go throwing around opinions that have no basis in the article.

Fifth, all new articles must be written in English on this version of the Tree of Savior Wiki. If you wish to post in another language, please post in a Tree of Savior Wiki that corresponds to your language. If a news source is not in English, feel free to use Google Translate or any other translator in order to quote the information in English. (PLEASE de-Engrish the translation, though! If you are unable to de-Engrish Google Translations, ask someone for help.)

I know I can use the blogs feature to more easily display news articles on the main page. However, doing so makes it easy for anyone to submit their blog as a news article, regardless of whether it is actually a news article or just a personal blog entry. The current display I have going allows for better quality control in regards to recent news articles on the main page.

On that note, however, if someone is making spam threads or shit-posts in the News and Announcement section (or anywhere on the forums for that matter), the corresponding threads and posts will be removed and the user WILL BE BANNED. That kind of crap may get a pass on the TOS forums, but not here.

Earlier this year, Level Up! Games announced that they will be publishing Tree of Savior for the South America region, providing marketing and translation services for the game in the region.

About 5 months after the announcement, Level Up! Games declared that it will no longer publish Tree of Savior for South America.

According to the article, LUG's communications with IMC Games was spotty and that they did not even discuss the release of the South America server on Steam with LUG prior to it. LUG was confused and frustrated that IMC agreed to have them translate and publish the game, yet decided to use their translations and release the game to players in their regions without consulting with LUG. Although LUG will allow IMC to continue using their Portuguese translations, it doesn't seem likely that they will continue to provide Portuguese translations for future content considering IMC's questionable behavior.

I'm planning on editing articles of all cleric branch. I've made some contributions on Cleric's article, but I couldn't understand some field on the infobox.

Could you please tell me what I'm supposed to write on these fields?

I'm currently considering activating the chatroom feature offered by Wikia. This would be useful for small talk that doesn't constitute making a forum thread. The chat system does not log conversations, so anything said in there will be lost after a while. The way I see it, this would be a useful tool to promote socializing on the wiki. Anything important, such as infobox talk, navbox talk, article talk, and other wiki-related stuff should be made as forum posts as that is a better means of archiving wiki discussions.

So the question is: would you guys be fine with using a chatroom for small talk while discussions take place on the forums? Anyone wanting to participate in the chatroom has to be logged into their Wikia account so there won't be any issues with anonymous people popping in to disrupt anything.
