ToS Companion

A Companion being used as a mount in ToS.

Companions are creatures that accompany the player character. They can be mounted, assist the player in combat, and/or provide buffs to the character it is following.

They will stay in the Lodge together with the characters and fill one of the available character slots. Companions can be used by all characters of the same team. If the maximum number of characters that is allowed for a particular lodge is four and you have one companion, then you can only have three characters in the lodge.

ToS Companion2

The Companion UI.

When following a character, companions can be summoned or de-summoned at will through the Companion window. The default hotkey to access the Companion window is F9.

Taking Care of Companions

Companions can gain EXP like player characters do and also have Stamina. The way a companion gains EXP is by gaining a portion of its owner's EXP.

A companion's Stamina depletes over time. If it reaches 0, most companions will have their Movement Speed reduced. To restore it, the companion must be fed with food purchasable from the Companion Trader NPCs or the TP Shop.

Training Companions

The companion's stats can be increased at the Companion Trader NPCs for a silver fee.

Companion Equipment

Companions can use the same equipment as players. There are no restrictions on what type of equipment can be used other than the available slots that vary by each companion.

List of Land Companions

Land companions can auto-attack, take damage, and grant a portion of their Maximum HP, Physical Defense, and Evasion to the owner when mounted.
